All About Me

Everything about words has always come easily to me. Even as a preschooler, I just got it. I was reading and writing before kindergarten. I have countless cherished memories of snuggling up reading on cold days or out in the woods under a tree on hot days. Writing helps me process my thoughts and what's going on around me. I won awards in elementary school and was even published in high school!

Finding and correcting spelling and grammatical errors is as natural to me as breathing. It finally occurred to me one day that I could take my passion for the English language and use it to help others polish their communications, in turn allowing them to invest their time in pursuing their passions while I'm pursuing mine!

Professionally, I am a trained teacher and counselor. I have a B.S. in speech communication and English from The University of Texas at Tyler and an M. Ed from Lamar University. I love to learn new things and am constantly on the lookout for what I want to learn next! I come from a long line of incredibly talented crafters and woodworkers. I enjoy exploring how to do different kinds of crafts, but my favorite is sewing. If I'm not working on proofreading/editing/writing, you can usually find me sitting at my Baby Lock with my AirPods set to noise-canceling and either a documentary playing or listening to indie folk music!

Why hire The Wildflower Wordie?

It's pretty simple actually! I will pour my heart into your project, big or small. I will work with you through discovery calls and emails to pinpoint your vision and bring your communications to life. I will make your life easier by providing top-notch support for your dream.
